Pecatonica River Popcorn collects personal information when you submit Commitment to Sell or Order forms via the website. We ask for information such as your name, address, phone number, email address and ZIP code.

Pecatonica River Popcorn does not use cookies to record information from your computer and browser.

The only instances in which Pecatonica River Popcorn will share personal information are listed below:

  1. We may disclose users' personal information to shipping companies to ship orders
  2. We may disclose users’ personal information to credit card processing company to bill users. These companies are not allowed to retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any purpose.

Portions of this website exist to help support the councils in their administering of the Popcorn Sale. Information provided to Pecatonica River Popcorn will be made available to the councils and includes personally identifiable information, addresses, phone numbers and email. The councils may share this information with their districts and units for any other purpose. The information provided to the councils does not include any personal financial or credit card information.

Children

Pecatonica River Popcorn supports and complies with The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998. COPPA protects the personal information of children under the age of 13 and includes identifiable information such as a first and last name, e-mail address or telephone number.

Pecatonica River Popcorn will never knowingly request information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. The information that we do collect is the minimum required while still allowing the Scout to participate in online activity.

Parents/Guardians can revoke their consent and ask that information about their children be deleted from the site by contacting Pecatonica River Popcorn by phone at (800) 828-8115 or via email ([email protected]). Upon receiving a revocation request we will verify the identity of the parent. When a parent/guardian revokes consent, we will stop collecting, using, or disclosing information from that child.
